A meatball is ground meat rolled into a small ball, sometimes along with other ingredients, such as bread crumbs, minced onion, eggs, butter, and seasoning. Meatballs are cooked by frying, baking, steaming, or braising in sauce. There are many types of meatballs using different types of meats and spices. The term is sometimes extended to meatless versions based on vegetables or fish; the latter are commonly known as fishballs.

- 500 gr ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon chickpea flour
- 1 tomato
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/8 tablespoon pepper
- Mashed Potatoes
- 750 gr potatoes
- 5/8 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 tablespoon salt
Instructions
Step 1
First, peel and wash the onion. Then grate onion with a fine grater. Discard the water and pour the onion in a large bowl.

Add the minced meat and mix well.
Step 3
Break the egg into a bowl and mix well to whisk the yolks and whites. Then add it to the bowl of minced meat and stir.
Step 4
Sprinkle salt, turmeric, and pepper over salt and add 1 tablespoon chickpea flour and knead meat. You can add another tablespoon of chickpea flour if you find the mixture is too loose.
Step 5
To prepare the meatballs, take a spoonful of mixture and rotate it with your palm to form round ping pong ball-sized meatball.

Heat about oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.

Now prepare the meatballs sauce. To do this, first, wash the tomatoes thoroughly and crush them on the kitchen board with a sharp knife. Pour oil into the pan and allow it to heat up on the stove over medium heat. Then add the tomato paste and sauté for 5 minutes. Then add the chopped tomatoes with salt and black pepper and stir to taste the ingredients. Finally, add a cup of water to the pan and let the sauce thicken.
Step 8
Finally, place the fried meatballs in the sauce and allow them to cool slightly and taste well. You can serve meatballs with rice or cooked vegetables.
